I just came across your blog while searching for a pilot boom mike to make my own headset.

Congrats on passing your checkride. I just started about a month ago.

Are you aware of any boom mikes or separate cables that can be purchased? I have a nice set of Shure E2 in-ear headphones that I could re-use in a pilot setup. I would probably make something that I could just plug them in to and go. If I could find a boom mike that hung over the ear, that would be awesome!
